Three million pounds is a lot of money in anyone’s world and it is what a family has spent on part of their pride and joy.
The McIntosh family have spent £9million in all since they began transforming the four star Tewkesbury Park Hotel three years ago, after buying it from Washington Hotels.
It was built in 1976 and by 2014 was in need of some major improvements, with various different former owners having failed to give it the boost it needed.
Now the family have opened the new Cotswolds Suite and Berkeley Bar, Lounge & Terrace at the front of the Lincoln Green Lane site. It is for conferences and events, such as weddings.
It took nearly a year to build and the owners and the hotel staff are delighted with the outcome.
General manager Patrick Jones said: “We are thrilled with the results. The hotel has undergone a complete renaissance and has been brought back to the magnificent property it once was.”
